Glas

Beach House
Perched right above Swanpool Beach, Beach House is one of our favourite spots for a drink by the sea. Grab a cocktail, cold beer or glass of wine from the quirky horsebox bar, find a spot on one of the outdoor pub benches and settle in with uninterrupted views across the bay. On a sunny evening, it’s hard to beat.

Verdant Seafood Bar
A small, tucked-away bar on Quay Street serving an excellent selection of Verdant beers straight from the brewery. It’s an intimate alternative to the much larger Penryn taproom and a great place to stop for a couple of exceptionally fresh beers while wandering through town. The seafood is pretty special too.

Falmouth Brewery – The Wheelhouse
A tiny, characterful micropub tucked away on Upton Slip and a great find for anyone who likes proper local beer. Falmouth Brewery’s own brews take centre stage, with cask ales served in a simple, laid-back setting that feels refreshingly off the beaten track.

The Boathouse
Worth the walk up the hill for one of the best pub views in Falmouth. The Boathouse looks right across the harbour towards Flushing and out over Carrick Roads, with plenty of space inside and out for drinks. Grab a local ale, glass of wine or something stronger and settle in for the view – particularly lovely as the sun starts to go down.

The Front
A proper Falmouth drinking pub tucked down on Custom House Quay. The Front is all about the beer, with an ever-changing selection of real ales, craft beers and ciders and a friendly, unpretentious atmosphere. There’s no food, but you can bring your own takeaway in – fish and chips and a pint by the harbour is a pretty good combination.

Pandora Inn
One of Cornwall’s great waterside pubs and well worth making a trip for. Sit out on the huge pontoon over Restronguet Creek with a pint of local ale or a bottle of wine and watch the boats drift past. You can drive, cycle or, best of all, arrive by boat from Mylor. Just keep an eye on the tides!
